# Recentfollow review

Overall score: 2.9/5 · Facts checked October 12, 2026 · Canonical: https://instagram-follower-tracker.com/reviews/recentfollow/

Recent Follow is a web tool that lists the followers and following of any public Instagram account, sorted newest first, without asking for your login. It doesn’t explain where its data comes from or whether it shows follow dates, and its $14-a-week plan comes with three different refund statements on three pages.

- Good for: A quick, login-free look at a public account’s follow lists, if you accept unexplained ordering.
- Skip it if: Anyone who needs dated follows, a clear refund policy or a company they can identify.

## What Recent Follow does

Recent Follow at recentfollow.com describes itself as a free online tool for viewing the recent followers or following of any public Instagram account. You type in a username, and its FAQ says it gathers both lists and sorts them “from newest to oldest”. Its plans page also advertises tracking unlimited accounts with real-time notifications. Much of the marketing is aimed at partners and exes, down to an FAQ about seeing who your boyfriend or ex recently followed.

Similar names cause confusion. An iPhone app called “Recent Follow - Follow Tracker” is listed under the developer Bob Wei and links to both recentfollow.com and igexport.com pages, so we couldn’t confirm who runs it. A separate site, recentfollow.app, returned an error when we checked. This review covers recentfollow.com.

## Do you have to log in?

No. The homepage says “No login required to get started”, and the privacy policy says it doesn’t collect or store your Instagram credentials or access tokens. Paying means creating an account on the site, and the privacy policy lists email, billing information and subscription status as account data.

Since your own Instagram account is never connected, the logouts and locks some people report with login-based trackers shouldn’t come into it, and we found no such reports here. The FAQ claims “absolutely 0 risk”. The terms are more careful: they say using the service may breach Instagram’s terms and that you take full responsibility.

## How “recent” are the results?

This is the part Recent Follow explains least. The homepage says its “advanced system securely accesses” follow data without saying how, and the FAQ doesn’t say how it works out the order or whether each follow has a date. The terms say it doesn’t guarantee the accuracy of anything it shows.

That matters because Instagram gives other people’s following lists no sort menu, their order isn’t a dependable timeline, and the Following activity tab was removed in 2019. On Trustpilot, some reviewers say they had to check results by hand and wanted clearer timestamps. We didn’t run a search, so we can’t say what a free search shows or whether notifications arrive.

## Price and refunds

The plans page shows one plan, the Expert Plan, at $14.00 a week with $35.00 struck through. It covers all follows and followers and unlimited searches. A toggle offers a quarterly plan marked “SAVE 30%”, but only the weekly price appeared when we checked. Every page carries a “Flash Sale” countdown and an “Only 4 Spots Left” notice.

The refund rules depend on which page you read. The terms promise a 7-day guarantee. The refund policy, dated the same day in July 2025, allows a refund within 7 days only for a technical failure, and counts a single use as use. The About page says “Refund Policy: No refunds.” Subscriptions renew automatically.

## Ratings and trust signals

The site shows a 4.95 rating from 22,258 reviews but doesn’t link it to any store or review platform. On Trustpilot it had 4.5 from 29 reviews when we checked, with 83% five-star and 10% one-star. User counts vary by page, from “150,000+ people” in the FAQ to “400,000+ users” on the homepage, and a “Voted #1 App Of 2025” badge names no source.

There’s no legal company name or street address. The terms fall under Delaware law, and support is by email at support@recentfollow.com.

## Who should use it

Recent Follow may suit a quick, login-free look at a public account’s follow lists when exact dates don’t matter. If you pay, assume the strictest refund wording applies. ## Score breakdown

| Criterion | Weight | Score | Why |
|---|---|---|---|
| Account safety | 30% | 4.5 | No Instagram login and no reports of account trouble, but its terms say using it may breach Instagram’s terms and put the responsibility on you. |
| What it can track | 25% | 2 | Promises newest-first follow lists and notifications, but doesn’t say how it orders them or whether it shows dates. |
| Price and value | 20% | 1.5 | $14 a week with a struck-through $35, countdown “flash sale” banners, and refund wording that differs between terms, refund policy and About page. |
| Reliability | 15% | 3 | Trustpilot 4.5 from only 29 reviews; some reviewers say results needed a manual check. The on-site 4.95 isn’t tied to any review platform. |
| Privacy | 10% | 3 | Says it never stores Instagram credentials and collects email and billing data, but names no legal entity or address. |
