Tracks other public accounts · #3 of 8 in our ranking
DolphinRadar review
Verdict
DolphinRadar watches public Instagram accounts without asking for your Instagram login and emails you a weekly activity report. It’s cheap next to many rivals, but the first report takes about a week, each plan covers one account, and its few Trustpilot reviews are mostly about billing and cancelling.
Good for: Keeping a weekly eye on one public account’s follows, likes and stories without handing over your Instagram login.
Skip it if: People in the EEA, UK, Switzerland, Illinois or Texas, anyone who needs exact follow times, or anyone who wants a phone app.

What DolphinRadar does
DolphinRadar is a website that tracks public Instagram accounts you don’t own. Its FAQ says it follows the “likes, follows, unfollows, interests, and stories” of the account you choose, and weekly reports are generated automatically. Paid plans add email alerts when a new report is ready and a list of recent follows and followers.
Longer plans add AI Insights, such as an MBTI guess, lifestyle and location modules and a “Visual Map Of Visited Areas”, plus a relationship map and checks for the same person on five other platforms. We couldn’t verify how accurate any of these are.
There’s no DolphinRadar app on the US App Store or Google Play; it runs in the browser. Private accounts can’t be tracked.
Do you have to log in?
Not to Instagram. DolphinRadar’s FAQ says it “never asks for your Instagram username, password”. You create a DolphinRadar account with an email address, Google or Apple ID, then enter the public username you want to watch.
Your own Instagram account is never connected to the service. None of the complaints we found mention logouts, verification prompts or locked accounts.
How fast the data arrives
DolphinRadar says it needs about a week to collect enough data for the first activity report, and after that reports refresh once a week. Stories and highlights are checked daily, from the day your subscription starts. Past reports going back up to 36 weeks cost extra. Each subscription covers one account, which you can’t change while the subscription runs.
The free Recent Follow tool is upfront about its limits. The time it shows is when DolphinRadar first saw a follow, not the moment it happened, and its own page says you can’t reliably turn someone’s existing Following list into a chronological history. The terms add that reports “may have latency, gaps, or omissions”.
Price and refunds
On DolphinRadar’s pricing page in November 2026, the monthly plan cost $4.49, the quarterly plan $10.99 (about $3.66 a month) and the annual plan $32.99 (about $2.75 a month). Each covers one tracked account with weekly reports and email alerts; AI Insights come only with the quarterly and annual plans. Extra tools such as story viewing and follower export are priced separately. We saw these prices in US dollars from Europe, so US prices may differ.
There’s no free trial. The terms say subscriptions are non-refundable, except after an outage of seven days or more, a charge after a documented cancellation, or where the law requires it.
Who runs it, and where it’s offered
DolphinRadar is run by Seshat Lab Pte. Ltd., a Singapore company that gives its address in its terms. The domain was registered in January 2024.
Its terms list “Excluded Regions” where the service isn’t offered: the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, mainland China, sanctioned countries, Illinois and Texas. Users there may be cut off without a refund.
Ratings and who it suits
With no app in the stores, Trustpilot is the main place to read user reviews. DolphinRadar has a TrustScore of 2.1 there from 21 reviews, and 86% of them are one-star. Reviewers report that cancelling is hard, that they were charged after cancelling or billed twice, that support is slow, and that reports came back empty or took a week to arrive. That’s a small sample next to the “50,000+ users” the site claims, but the billing complaints repeat often.
DolphinRadar suits someone outside the excluded regions who wants a low-cost weekly summary of one public account and doesn’t mind waiting. If you need faster updates or several accounts, compare it with the other trackers in our ranking.
