Tracks other public accounts · #5 of 8 in our ranking
FollowSpy review
Verdict
FollowSpy says it shows any public Instagram account’s recent follows, new followers and unfollows without your Instagram login. It costs $12 to $14 a week with no free plan, it doesn’t say who runs it or where its data comes from, and Trustpilot has withheld its rating over a guidelines breach.
Good for: A short burst of checking on a few public accounts, if you’re fine with weekly billing and strict refund rules.
Skip it if: Anyone on a budget, anyone who wants a free trial first, or anyone who wants to know which company they’re paying.

What FollowSpy claims to do
FollowSpy is a website, with a newer iPhone app, that says it can show who a public Instagram account recently followed, who its new followers are and who has unfollowed it. Its home page promises lists “sorted newest to oldest”, notifications on new follower activity, and viewers for stories, posts and highlights. Private accounts aren’t covered.
How it gets this data is vague. The plans FAQ says it uses “smart API integrations to pull live follow data directly”, but it doesn’t say which API or how it knows the order of someone’s follows. Its terms say “We do not guarantee accuracy of any data”. One search we tried on the home page in November 2026, without an account, ended in an error saying Instagram’s servers were temporarily unavailable.
Do you have to log in?
Not to Instagram. FollowSpy says “No login required”, and its privacy policy says it doesn’t collect or store your Instagram credentials. You do need a FollowSpy account, and the sign-up link leads to the paid plans.
Your own Instagram account is never connected, and none of the complaints we found mention locked accounts.
Price and refunds
FollowSpy’s plans page lists two weekly plans: Starter at $12 a week for up to two tracked accounts, and Premium at $14 a week for unlimited accounts, “advanced analytics” and priority support. Both renew every week until you cancel, which adds up to $48 to $56 every four weeks. No free plan or trial is listed. From Europe, the page also showed a discounted quarterly option, so prices may vary by country.
The refund rules pull in different directions. The terms promise a 7-day guarantee on new purchases in one section and say “All sales are final” in another. The refund policy offers a limited 30-day refund only for technical failures, and says loading data even once counts as use, with no refund in that case.
Who runs FollowSpy?
FollowSpy’s terms and privacy policy don’t name a company or give an address. They list a phone number and support@followspy.ai, and the terms are governed by Delaware law. The iPhone app is published under the seller name Follower Find LLC, with followspy.ai as its website.
The domain was registered in June 2025, though the footer reads “© 2023 - 2026”. User numbers change from page to page: 35,000 sign-ups “This Month” on the English home page, 46,700+ users on the German one and “over 262,500 users” in the plans FAQ.
Other “Follow Spy” apps on the App Store and Google Play don’t link to followspy.ai, and we found no Android app from followspy.ai, so check the developer name before downloading.
Ratings and what users say
The iPhone app came out in July 2026 and has 3.7 stars from only 6 ratings on the US App Store, too few to tell much.
On Trustpilot, FollowSpy’s rating is unavailable “due to a breach of our guidelines”, and Trustpilot says it removed fake reviews. Of the 15 reviews still shown, 53% are one-star and 40% are five-star. The negative ones report unwanted charges, refused refunds, trouble cancelling and the site not loading.
Privacy and who should use it
The privacy policy says FollowSpy collects your IP address, device and usage data, email and billing details, uses Google Analytics, and may process data in the US. The plans page also loads Meta, Reddit and Snap advertising pixels, PostHog analytics, and Stripe and OpenPay payment scripts.
FollowSpy might suit someone who wants to check a few public accounts for a week or two and accepts the price and the refund terms. If you want a cheaper tracker, a free tier or a named company behind it, see our ranking or browse all our reviews.
